Joe Budden's "The Padded Room" Pushed Back To 2009

Photobucket

According to a statement from Joe Budden, his new album "The Padded Room" has been pushed back to a 2009 release date.

Budden says the album will now be released February 24th 2009. The statement, which was released on the Joe Budden forums also talks about some new projects the MC has dropping in the meantime:

"to those of you who have been patient enough to bear with me……

padded room started out as a transitional album for me, and amalgam as well, they knew very little about me and vice versa….. once the album was completed, both parties were so excited about the final product that we were both willing to do anything in our means to raise awareness, tho i’m not happy about it being pushed so far back, i do understand the method behind the madness…. we’ve got an album that i’m extremely proud of, and a lead off single that we’re both very happy with, but for those of you who are just as anxious as myself, i apologize…..

which brings us to “halfway house”…… i will be releasing a prequel of sorts in late october featuring about 14 new records, i then will do my best to get this big mike tape out in december..."

Lil Wayne locked up again

Oh boy, so it looks like Lil Wayne might’ve gotten locked up again last night at club Dream in New Orleans. According to sources, Weezy was approached by some nobody probably wanting to talk about a deal when things went sour. Supposedly Weezy laughed in the guys face proclaiming his status as the King of New Orleans when the guy snapped and a brief scuffle ensued.

Cops were called and both men were arrested. But it gets worst for Mr. Carter; rumor has it police also found two unregistered pistols on him. He was escorted out of the club and into a jail cell. Wayne has reportedly been charged with one count of second-degree aggravated assault, one count of disturbing the peace, and two counts for possession of a firearm.

The pic on the right is the supposed mugshot.

I don’t want to burst anyones bubble, but isn’t this the same club that claimed Weezy was going to reunite with the Hot Boyz on all star weekend and never happened?

You Should Hear: Cleveland hip-hopper Rahem 'Twizted Mind' Clark seeks more 'respect'

HERE IS TWIZTED MINDS ARTICLE WITH THE CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER.

Rahem "Twizted Mind" Clark,

Hometown: Cleveland

Years performing: 8

Day gig: professional emcee

You heard my music? I might as well be holdn 2 pistols. Im killn em!!!After recently releasing the third and final installment of his "Respect Me" mixtape series, Rahem "Twizted Mind" Clark, 24, is already looking ahead to his next effort due out this fall. "It's going to be called 'Disrespectful,' and it's an all original production with about 20 joints," said the Warrensville Heights native and Cleveland resident. "I'm just trying to see how the street feeds off of that before I go out with anything else. I'm somebody who is going to speak their mind regardless of whether the cats feel it here in Cleveland or not. So I'm going to tell you who I like, who I'm rolling with, and at the same time, I'm kind of attacking the whole game because I feel like it's built on phoniness."
As for "Respect Me, Vol. 3," Clark, an independent artist on Cleveland-based record label 220 Records, said so far the streets are reacting to tracks "Smells Like Twizted Mind," naturally featuring a sample of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," as well as "Animal Crackerz." The latter track samples Shirley Temple. For more on Twizted Mind, visit his MySpace page. (http://www.myspace.com/wasbuiltforme)

1.) What are the first three things that you notice in a guy/girl? For a guy personality and style but for a woman the same (I'm not into woman at all, but I just love being around pretty woman) it's been like that every since I use to stay in Cali, but I love a man. Don't get it twisted. 2.) What are some turnoffs?Guys that feel like they have to remind you how many times they are a football player, basketball player, baseball player, rapper, or how many times they went to school with LeBron and sat by him at lunch. I would be more interested in the guy I am trying to meet.3.) Which is more important in a guy/girl? Appearance/Style or Personality/Intelligence? (Ex.60/40) Why? Personality and intelligence is very important, looking good is too, but if you just look good and you have no intelligence or a good personality then we won't last.4.) Whats been the worst experience you have had with the opposite sex?Bad sex (I tried to hang in there, but then I had to let him know, like "dude your not doing anything for me" right now I am 27 & I am at the point where I'm not gonna fake any orgasms.5.) What's your idea of a perfect first date?Watching sports or a movie @ my place or his, just the two of us.

This Is What Everyone Is Doing

Photobucket

This is a problem I have, everyone in hip hop is moving away from the true meaning of what hip hop is! Now everyone is following what the south is doing and it is pretty disturbing. Hip hop is a life style not just a type of music and I don't think this generation understands! Everyone is talking about rims, hoes, money, and cars. It has become very watered down! HOW LONG ARE RAPPERS/ARTISTS GOING TO TELL US ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE!!! Jus Mic put it perfectly in one of his recent songs: "Scared to Speak" he says "We don't need to hear about all the fucking money you spend!" the song is about how everyone is scared to stand up for all that is hip hop! so check the track out at his myspace at www.myspace.com/goodshyt

"IT'S NOT ABOUT MONEY MAKIN' OR FAKIN' AN IMAGE, IT'S ABOUT LEAVIN' YOUR MARK ON THIS EARTH BEFORE YOUR TIMES FINISHED"

It's So Cold In The D! What A Video!

What Do You Think?

Nikki "Hoopz" Alexander Interview For King Magazine

By Sean A. Malcolm

Before we get into I Love Money, what’s your boggle with the media?
The media irritate me because my words get switched around. And they put out so many rumors about me; I can’t defend my own self.

Because of past rumors, you don’t conduct interviews?
If I don’t have to do an interview, I won’t do it. There are certain radio stations that I don’t [talk to], because they came out with the AIDS rumor. It’s a no-win situation for me. Why put myself out there when negativity is going to come? No matter what you do, it’s critiqued. No matter what you say, it’s wrong. You guys don’t really care about what we feel or say. The way you handle your jobs, it’s so shallow.

And television, another form of media, isn’t shallow? Especially reality television, where they, at times, show African Americans channeling their inner Stepin Fetchits?
You’re definitely right. But you’ve seen the I Love Money previews, and you saw the people who were acting out. That’s why I’m not about to go on TV and act like a slut, because I know how that’s going to be portrayed. You see me conservative while everyone else acts like an ass. But I’ve been treated well, so I love [producers] 51 Minds and I love VH1. And I’ll continue working with them, because they have my best interests at heart. I trust them. When it comes to radio and magazines, I don’t.

Why bother modeling—and interviewing—for KING, then?
That comes with the territory—it’s all advertisement. Fuck, it’s not modeling to me. I consider it working. Shit, if I was trying to model, I’d be…. I don’t like modeling. First off, I’m short as hell. I don’t have the figure of a Goddamn model…

Wasn’t that you “modeling” in KING’s January/February 2005 issue as a Web Girl? Well before becoming a celeb-reality star?
Shut up! I’m too much of a tomboy for it, I guess. I don’t consider myself prissy or girly; I hate wearing dresses. I look at being pretty in a completely different way. Being down to earth and being myself is being pretty, to me.

Maybe that’s why you had a suspect rapper/singer in Real and a wannabe thug in Whiteboy fighting for your affections on I Love Money?[Laughs] Here it goes! I’m being hated on by the guy who’s interviewing me. Oh, my God, I can’t win.

These are just jokes, Nik. But in all seriousness, you could’ve done better.
Things just happen. They’re two great guys, we all get along and we’re all great friends now, [since] the show wrapped. We talk almost every day. See, Whiteboy, Real and Chance were in my alliance; therefore, most of the time we were together. We developed a closeness. There was a lot of drama, though. But that’s part of the show.

They had interest in you, but did you have any romantic interest in either Real or Whiteboy?
No, I’m in a relationship. Real knew that on the show, so that was the real holdup between us. But we’re not going to get into all that. Next question.

Can you honestly find true love on a reality show?
Definitely, because you’re totally away from civilization—there’s no radio, no television, you can’t leave the vicinity and you’re stuck for three weeks or a month. If you find someone remotely attractive, they have a nice personality that fits yours and you’re with that person all the time, yeah, it can happen. It can happen fast. If there’s chemistry between the two, I believe it’s possible.

Do you think it’s possible to avoid the flood of rumors that were associated with you the first time around?Well, definitely, you can’t avoid people hating. It doesn’t matter where you go. For every one person that loves you, for me, there are five people that hate. But it only makes me stronger.

Any regrets?
No regrets. I think any halfway decent–looking woman who goes on TV, it’s automatically assumed that she’s getting her 15 minutes. A lot of people think I went on Flavor of Love for TV and I didn’t care about Flav.

It looked that way after the first season was over.
But it’s not like I found out about the show and pursued it. Someone noticed me, came up to me and then it happened. That was a blessing. And for the second time, VH1 called me up and asked if I wanted to be on I Love Money. I like physical stuff, so it’s right up my alley. But I think if I were fat and ugly, people wouldn’t have anything to say about me. That’s the truth.

Kanye Pushes Album Release Date Up To November

After Kanye performed his new single "Love Lockdown" at the 2008 MTV Music Awards, a few weeks back has now announced that he will be pushing the release date of his new album 808's and Heartbreak to November. Sooner that it was expected! The album was expected to come out in December, but as most of you know Jay-Z is releasing the Blueprint 3 in December maybe Kanye doesn't want another showdown like he had with 50.
